Developed during the Medienfrische residency in Tyrol, Keinen Text schreiben is an immersive installation exploring imagination as a source of energy and refuge. A former bathroom in an old school building is transformed into a protected retreat. Natural materials and found objects create an atmosphere that invites visitors on an imaginary journey, opening up a space removed from the constant pressure to perform.
Drawing on J. M. Barrie’s Peter Pan, a text accompanies the installation, incorporating quotations from the story alongside personal observations and reflections on the artistic process itself. The text playfully circles around the desire to escape the demands of productivity: “Ich möchte keinen Text schreiben, ich will lieber in die Berge!” Visitors are invited to record their own thoughts and associations, creating a space for alternative forms of productivity and imagination.
